Happy Anniversary!

Good morning!  I want to start off by saying Happy 21st Anniversary to my wonderful hubby! (even though he will never see this!)  I can hardly believe we have been married for 21 years!  Time sure goes fast!

Today is Thursday so that means it is time for a new challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks.  I am hostess today so I have decided that since it is my anniversary that will be our theme this week!
Here is the card I made for my wonderful hubby:

I kept it pretty simple, using my Cricut Explore to design and cut everything.  The little diamond gems were a Christmas gift from my fellow chick Leanne.  (Thanks again!)  The writing was all done on the Cricut as well! (I am still amazed by that!)

So, head over to 4 Crafty Chicks and enter your ANNIVERSARY card today!  We can't wait to see what you come up with!

Happy New Year!

Good morning all my crafty friends!  I can't believe it is 2015 all ready!  Where did 2014 go?
Life has been so busy that time just seemed to slip away!

I hope you all have had a wonderful Holiday season!  My Christmas was fantastic!  My favorite gift?  A Cricut Explore!!! I have had so much fun playing with my new machine!

Today is Thursday so that means a new challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks! This week our lovely and talented Leanne is the hostess and she is ready for a CELEBRATION!  So, break out all those new crafty supplies and show us what you create using the theme CELEBRATION.

For my card, I used my new Cricut! (well, I have to practice right?)

I cut the snowflake using the Cricut Design space and did my writing using my embossing pen with the Cricut too!  I have to say, that is the coolest thing!  Even my family has had to come into my craft room just to watch this new machine "write" something!
Here are a couple close ups of the card:

So head on over to 4 Crafty Chicks and play along with us! We are also having a Guest Design Team Call - if you would like to play along with us please add GDT after your entry. We want to thank you for all of your support in 2014 and we are excited for the beginning of the new year and can't wait to show you everything we have in store for you in 2015!

Today begins a new challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks and this week we have a sketch for you to try out!

Since it is Christmas I am sharing with you one final Christmas card.

I inked and embossed my image with white embossing powder then cut him out using a Spellbinders die.  The rest was just following the sketch:

Charmed

Good morning!  It's Thursday so that means another new challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks!  Tamie is the hostess this week and she is wanting us to use charms on our projects.

I  have finally finished all of my Christmas Cards and this is one of the many I did for some of my "primitive" female friends.  I embossed the tree with white powder on kraft card then added a bow with a little diamond "charm" they can remove and add to a necklace or bracelet.  Pretty simple but I really love this one!

So be sure to head over to 4 Crafty Chicks and enter your "Charmed" project today!

One layer cards at 4 Crafty Chicks

Good morning friends!  Can you believe it is the middle of December already?!?  Where did this year go? Have you finished all of your Christmas shopping?

Today at 4 Crafty Chicks I get to be hostess and I have decided since I am working on Christmas Cards to have a one layer challenge!

For my card I used these adorable snowmen.  I can't remember where I got them or what the name is but I just love this stamp!
I colored them with watercolor pencils and added some white lace Stickles for the snow effect.  It was a pretty quick and simple card but will be perfect for mailing!

So what are you waiting for?  Head on over to 4 Crafty Chicks and enter your one layer card today!

See you soon!

Happy Feet!

Good morning!  Happy Birthday to my baby brother!!!  Well, I guess at 39 he is not really a baby anymore!

Today Leanne is our hostess over at 4 Crafty  Chicks and she wants to see some Animals!  This one was a little hard for me as I don't do many cards with animals, but during that shopping trip a few weeks ago I came across this adorable little penguin stamp and I just could not resist him!

I stamped him twice.  The first one I cut out using a Spellbinders die and the second I used the matching die cut.  I colored both images and then popped the die cut image up with pop dots. I embossed the blue layer with my snowflake embossing folder and added some ribbon.  Another quick, simple Christmas card done!

So my "first" animal card is complete!  I have a feeling this little guy will be in the mail box soon to someone very special!

So head over to 4 Crafty Chicks and show us your Animal card today!

See you soon!

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!

Good morning friends!  Happy Thanksgiving!  Today we will be heading to my husbands family for a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner.  Bring on the Pumpkin Pie!

Today at 4 Crafty Chicks Lori is our hostess and she is wanting us to use die cuts.  For my card I really kept it simple.  Remember my shopping trip a couple of weeks ago?  Well, I picked up this adorable Snow Man set at my Close To My Heart uplines booth.  It is called Christmas Post.  This is just one of the beautiful images from this set!  I simply stamped the image with Black Momento ink and cut it out using a Spellbinders die.  I embossed the black layer with a new embossing folder and love how it came out with the white! (sometimes accidents are good things!)  A little bit of ribbon and this Christmas card is ready to mail!

Not really a traditional Christmas card but I love the black and white!

So, be sure to head over to 4 Crafty Chicks and show us your project using Die Cuts today!

See you soon!

Today at 4 Crafty Chicks we are wanting you to Make It Sparkle!  Last weekend a friend and I went to St. Louis to a Scrapbook show and did some shopping.  I bought so many new stamps I can't wait to show them all to you!  I thought this one was perfect for Thanksgiving!  I colored it with my Spectrum Noir pens and added lots and lots of glitter.  Some gold sequins and a bow and it was done!  Quick, simple and easy!

Here is a close up of this beautiful stamp:

BINGO!

Good morning friends!  I hope you are all doing well this beautiful Fall day!  Today is Thursday so you know what that means!  It is time for another wonderful challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks!

This week the lovely and talented Leanne is our Hostess with the Mostest and she wants to play BINGO!  Choose any column and play along!

I chose to use column "I" for mine.  I decided to create a simple quick gift tag.  The column asks for Pattern paper (across the bottom of the tag), Lace, Sewing (On the to and from tag), flowers and a free space (I chose the die cut)

Doesn't this look like fun?!?  So, head over to 4 Crafty Chicks and play along with us!  While you are there be sure to leave some love for the other very talented design team members too!

Thanks for stopping by!  See you soon!
