New Challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks

Good morning! I am so glad you stopped by today!
Tomorrow my daughter will graduate from the Police Academy!  I can hardly believe how fast the time has gone!

Today is Thursday so that means a new challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks!  This week Tamie is our lovely hostess and she picked the theme FAIRY.

Now, remember we are still in the process of building my dream craft room so my supplies are spread everywhere right now!  I had to dig through several boxes in order to find a Fairy!  This little one reminded me of Tinkerbell.  I thought instead of a card I would do a quick tag.

I cut the tag with my Cricut and colored and fussy cut the fairy out.  I added some flowers and ribbon and a quick sentiment and there you go!

So head on over to 4 Crafty Chicks and enter your FAIRY card today!  I can't wait to see what you create!

See you soon!

Die Cuts at 4 Crafty Chicks

Good morning!  Today is Thursday so that means a new challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks! I am hostess today and have decided to use the theme "DIE CUTS".  I actually picked this theme quite a while ago but it is really perfect for my project this week!

As you know, we are in the process of remodeling my daughters old room and turning it into my very own craft room!  I promise to have photos very soon!

Anyway, on to today's project!  I really wanted to do something different with the closet doors in the craft room so here is what I came up with:

(sorry for the terrible quality photo!)  I made this using my Cricut Explore and Vinyl.  I absolutely LOVE the way it turned out!  Now I know this is not a traditional die cut but I did use a die cutting machine to create this so, use your imagination and show us what you can create using die cuts too!  Head on over to 4 Crafty Chicks and enter your project today!

See you soon!

Life has been so busy around here getting my new craft room built!  I am so excited to show you when it is finished!

Today is Thursday so that means a new challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks.  Leanne is our hostess this week and she is using the theme Easter.

For my card I pulled one from last year to share.  This adorable little bunny is from The Paper Shelter.  I colored him with colored pencils and cut him out with a Spellbinder die.

Good Thursday Morning!  I am sitting here trying to figure out where Spring went!?

The craft room is coming along quite nicely - if not fast enough!  Hopefully I will have lots of pictures to share with you soon!

Today is Thursday so that means a new challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks!  Lori is our super talented hostess this week and she is wanting to see  HUMOR in your cards.  Pretty easy right?

For my card I used a Bugaboo image and colored is with  my Spectrum Noir pens.  I kept the design pretty simple with some colored card stock and a white gel pen.

Inspiration Photo at 4 Crafty Chicks

Good morning Friends!  Welcome back!  I keep saying that I am going to get busy and post more often - but it seems like life is just getting in my way!  At least right now I am busy because I am in the process of building my very own CRAFT ROOM!!!  I am so excited and hope to have lots of photos to share with you all very soon!

My daughter is almost finished with week 2 of the Police Academy!  I am still having a hard time believing she is old enough to be on her own - not to mention the tough job she will be doing!

Today begins a new challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks and the lovely Tamie is out hostess.  This week she gave us an Inspiration Photo,  Here is what I came up with:

I stamped the image with Momento ink and colored with my Spectrum Noir markers.  I kept the layout pretty simple by just mounting the image on some colored card stock and popping up with foam squares onto the card.  A bit of ribbon and this was a super fast clean and simple card!

Here is the photo we had to work with:

Things With Wings at 4 Crafty Chicks

Good morning!  Can you believe we are already in the middle of February?!?  Time seems to just fly by!  I have some exciting news to share!  My daughter just got her call from the Illinois Department of Corrections and she leaves for the police academy on March 9!  I am so happy for her yet so sad that she will be leaving the nest for good in just a few short weeks.

Today is Thursday so that means a new challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks.  Tamie is our hostess this week and she is asking to see "THINGS WITH WINGS".  So, anyone who knows me knows how much I love butterflies!  This was a pretty simple quick card for me.  I embossed my main card stock with my new hearts embossing folder from Close To My Heart and added some pattern paper just off center.  Some ribbon for trim and paper butterflies that I picked up at Michaels.  The stamp is from the Seaside collection from Close To My Heart and I cut it out using a Spellbinders die.

I ended up giving this card to my secretary for her birthday last week and she loved it!
So, why not join in the fun and enter your card today using "THINGS WITH WINGS" over at 4 Crafty Chicks?  While you are there be sure to leave a little love for the rest of the design team.  They have some pretty amazing talent to share with you all!

I am entering the following challenges:

Happy Valentine's Day

Good morning Friends!  Welcome back again this week.
Today is Thursday so that means a new challenge over at 4 Crafty Chicks.
This week we are celebrating Valentines Day.

Here is a picture of one of my sweet little Valentines:

It's a little blurry because she likes to take "selfies" with Aunt T's phone!

Since she is just so sweet and cute and loves horses I made her a big Valentine Carousel:

I bought the SVG files to create this adorable Carousel from SVGCuts.com.  It is supposed to be a cupcake holder but did not want to put food on it.  This will look adorable in Little Miss's room full of Pink!

Here are a few close ups:

I think I will put a cute little outfit in the top for her to open since we won't be letting her play with her new horses.

And here is a picture of the Valentine box I helped my neighbor girl make:

So what kind of Valentines projects are you working on?  We would love for you to join us at 4 Crafty Chicks and show us your cards or projects today.

See you soon!

Hand Colored Image at 4 Crafty Chicks

Good morning friends!  Can you believe we are into February already!  WOW!  Time just seems to fly by!

Today is Thursday so we have a new challenge up at 4 Crafty Chicks.  This week Leanne is our Hostess and she is wanting to see your coloring.  So, our theme is A HAND COLORED IMAGE.

We also have a new Guest Designer this month!  A Big WELCOME to Danielle from D's Crafty Connection!  We are so excited to have you with us this month!

For my card I colored this cute stamp from My Favorite Things.  My fellow Chick, Lori, sent this to me for Christmas and this is the first chance I have had to use it.  I kept it pretty simple with just some Kraft card stock and some pattern paper from The Paper Studio. A bow and a little bling and this was finished.  I have a feeling you will be seeing more CAS cards from me this year!

So head over to 4 Crafty Chicks and enter your card using a HAND COLORED IMAGE today!  Oh, and while you are there be sure to leave a little love for the rest of the Chicks! They do some pretty amazing work!
