It's A Girl!

Good morning! It's finally Friday!  Both of my children are coming home for the weekend and our annual Super Bowl Party on Sunday. Has it really only been 2 weeks since Isaac was home?  Now, let's hope the weather cooperates so they both can get home!  We have a baby shower on Saturday for one of the girls Lacie played softball with ( are these girls really old enough to have babies already?)  Wow, I must be getting old!
Well, on with the card!  I have to say that this one has to be at the top of my favorites ever done. (sorry for all the pictures on this one - I  couldn't resist!)
This is an image from Wee Stamps.  I colored her with Prisma color pencils and added a touch of glitter here and there.  All the paper is from The Paper Studio and the gems, butterfly and ribbon are from my stash.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I inked the edges of all the paper with Burgundy distress ink and used a Martha Stuart border punch.

Isn't she just adorable?  I don't normally show the inside of my cards, but thought this one deserved the entire package.  Again, sorry for all the photos.

Anything Goes at 4 Crafty Chicks

Hi again!  Another week has just flew by!  Before I know it Spring will be here and along with that Lacie's college graduation.  Has it really been 4 years already?  She will soon no longer be a student and will have to enter the working world.
This week over at 4 Crafty Chicks the challenge is Anything Goes. I chose an image that reminded me so much of Lacie.
From the sloppy bun down to the leggings.  She is called Danielle with Laptop and you can get her from Mo's Digital Pencil.  I colored her with my Prismacolor Pencils.  The paper is from The Paper Studio and the flowers and twine are from my stash.

So hop on over to 4 Crafty Chicks and enter your project today!  We would love for you to play along.

Big Blue Eyes

Good morning!  Can you believe it is Wednesday already?  We are actually going to have temps above 0 today! Actually, I think we are supposed to get up to about 28 F...It will feel like a heat wave.  Have I mentioned lately how ready I am for Spring?
Anyway, on to today's card... Last night I was able to play with one of my new digi stamps I won from Dilly Beans.  This beautiful blue eyed girl called my name as soon as I saw her.  I colored her with Prisma color pencils and used a sketch from Papertake Weekly.  This is sketch #86.  I added a couple of extra elements to make it my own.  The paper is from my stash and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Butterfly Love

Good evening! It's been a long cold day here! We are expecting more extreme cold tomorrow too.  It has been a good evening to work in my craft room and see what kind of crafty goodness I could come up with.
Today I worked on a few challenge entries.  This one fits into 3 different ones:
The Pink Elephant - LOVE
Mojo Monday - Tall & Skinny
That Craft Place - color pallet

And here is the sketch from Mojo Monday:
All the paper is from my scrap bin and the stamped image and sentiment are from Inkadinkado.  I colored the butterfly with watercolor markers and added some glitter to the swirls.

A "Purfect" Love

Good evening! I hope everyone has enjoyed the break in the weather we had today. (I haven't left the house, but hear it has been quite nice)  Tomorrow we are looking at -3 for a high! Not looking forward to that!
Today I worked on a few design team projects but wanted to get something on the blog tonight so here you go-
This card was made using Sassy Studio's Pin Up Kitty.  I created her for the Monthly challenge on Facebook.  You can find it here.  I colored her with my Prisma color pencils and added some glitter to her shoes. The sentiment, paper and bling are all from my stash.

I think she will be a great Valentine's day card for the hubby.

Happy Birthday Gavin!

Good morning!  Not much crafting time today...I have a date with an adorable little birthday boy.  My nephew is turning 4 on Monday so we are off to Chucky Cheese for a party!  Gavin asked "Auntie T" to make him a black cake with Batman!  Well, I guess "black" is actually Chocolate, but since that is not my favorite I decided to combine the two flavors and made him a two layer sheet cake using one chocolate and one white cake.  Please keep in mind that I am by no means a professional cake decorator, but I gave it my best shot!  Here is what I came up with:

I think it matches his card I posted a few days ago pretty well!

It should be a fun day celebrating Superhero style!

I have you all have a wonderful weekend and are able to do at least one thing crafty!

Thinking of You!

Good morning everyone!  I hope you are able to keep warm if you are anywhere near all this cold weather we are having!  I am so happy today! First off it's finally Friday! Secondly - I won my first challenge! Thank you guys at Fab N Funky Challenges!
Yesterday I FINALLY received my order from Wild Orchid Crafts!  I had been patiently awaiting its arrival for a little while now.(Just ask the mail lady).  It takes a long time to have something shipped from the United Kingdom to Illinois!! But, of course it was worth the wait! I just love their products... Anyway...I couldn't wait to be off work so I could get home and play!  This is what I came up with:

I used this adorable image from The Paper Shelter called There's A Fairy In My Tea.  I cropped her to showcase her darling face and added a thick black border.  I colored her with my Prismacolor Pencils and matted her on white cardstock edged with burgundy ink.  The flowers are of course from Wild Orchid Crafts and the paper is all from Recollections. The sentiment was computer generated and cut with a Martha Stuart border punch. I finished her off with ribbon, lace, bling and a butterfly from my stash.

Doesn't she look just like she is thinking of someone special?

I am going to enter her into the following challenges:

Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget there are lots of challenges out there! To name just a couple -

New Challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks!

Hi there!  I hope you are having a wonderful week!  Can you believe it's almost over already?  Wow, time flies when you are having fun!
And speaking of fun...Be sure the check out 4 Crafty Chicks today for a new challenge. This week is all about the BLING!   You can make anything you like as long as it has bling.  A card, scrapbook layout, altered art, etc...
So... I chose to do a scrapbook layout for my first design team post.  I  used photos of my son's Senior Prom (I know he is in college now but the pictures were calling me)  I used cardstock for all the layers and added glitter to the edge of the circle.  The flowers were from the bridal section at Hobby Lobby. (They matched her flowers exactly) I added the swirls, butterfly and jewels for that extra BLING touch.

Don't they look so nice all dressed up?

Be sure to get your project entered over at
 4 Crafty Chicks this week.

See you soon!

Time Flies When Your Having Fun!

Good Morning!  We are having another cold, cold day here!  Remind me again why I haven't moved to Arizona??
Today's project is for an adorable young lady that just celebrated her 21st birthday.  I wanted something feminine and still have a touch of whimsical magic to it.  I used the adorable Rowan Fairy from Wee Stamps.  She has the most beautiful images!  I colored her with Prismacolor Pencils and added some glitter to make her pop.  I cut her out with a Spellbinders die and inked the edges and around the fairy.  The paper is from Recollections and the die cuts were done using the Sophisticated cartridge for my Cricut. A little lace, bow and silk flower from an old arrangement completed her look.

Isn't she just darling?

I am going to enter this card in the following challenges:

Birthday Boy!

Good afternoon!  We have another snowy day here.  I am so ready for Spring!  I spent the morning with my little niece and nephew playing cars and watching cartoons.  They are so much fun!  So, yesterday I told you I was working on a special card for his birthday.  Let me tell you, this one was hard for me!  I don 't do kids cards very often so I was completely out of my comfort zone! But, overall I am happy with the way it turned out.  I used Bat Brian from Digital Delights along with the Super Hero Accessory pack.  You can find them here. I colored everything with my Prismacolor pencils and fussy cut.  The background paper is plain cardstock and I cut the stars with my Cricut using Cricut Craft Room Basics.

Good evening!  I hope this was an enjoyable Monday for everyone!  I had a long day at work today and even came home and took a short nap before heading into my craft room to work on a few challenges...
Tonight I colored up a new digi I received for Christmas from Elizabeth Bell Designs called Little Rapunzel.  You can find her here.  I colored her with my new Prisma Pencils and cut her out using an old Creative Memories circle cutter.  I don't usually do monochromatic but decided to keep this one simple by using the same cardstock and embossing it with my Cuttlebug.  I followed the sketch from Sunday Stamp & Sketch and added some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Warm Birthday Wishes!

Good afternoon!  I hope you are having a wonderful Saturday and are able to enjoy some crafting time...

I went to meet little Greyson this morning..He is just about the most handsome baby boy ever!! I spent most of my time there just holding him and looking at his little face.  What is it about newborn babies that makes you want to just hold and kiss them?  I  hate to see what I will be like when I have grandbabies!! They will be the most spoiled children ever!

I did manage to squeeze in a little time in my craft room this afternoon.  Today I decided to color up this cute image from The Paper Shelter called Warm Winter Wishes. You can find her here I colored her with Prismacolor pencils and added some glitter to the snow.  The paper is from The Paper Studio and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The ribbon is from my stash.

It's A Boy!

Good evening!  I hope everyone had a great Friday.  Tonight I took the kids shopping for school supplies.  Isaac leaves tomorrow to head back to college and Lacie leaves on Sunday.  It is going to be pretty quiet around here with both of them back at school!
I did manage to squeeze in a new card for the baby tonight...Now to decide which one to give him!  I made this card using a new digi I got today from Wee Stamps.  I colored him up with Prismacolor pencils and added some ribbon and a button.  I cut the letters with my Cricut using the Quarter Note cartridge and embellished with some pearls.

Welcome Greyson Joseph!

Good evening!  I am a Great Aunt (again)!  My nephew had a baby boy yesterday.  He is so cute and I can not wait to meet him!
Of course I couldn't go see him without a card and gift, so tonight I put together a quick, simple card for him.  This adorable image is called Noah's Ark by Whimsy Stamps.  I colored it up with Prismacolor Pencils.  The paper is from a new pack called Authentique Essentials Collection and the cardstock is from The Paper Studio.  I used Zing embossing powder on the sentiment which is from Stampin Up. Misc. brads and ribbon finished the card.  It didn't turn out anything like I had in mind but I guess it's ok.

I am entering this is the following challenges:
