Sparkle & Shine

Good morning!  Welcome back again this week!

It is Thursday so it is time for a new challenge over at 4 Crafty Chicks!  This week Lori is our hostess and she decided on the theme
SPARKLE AND SHINE

Now, I have to say, I completely ran out of time once again this week, but one of my best crafty friends just happened to have made me the perfect gift for this challenge!

She took a bottle of hand soap from the dollar store and painted it white then added LOTS of glitter!

Isn't this just ADORABLE!!!  I added a bow and it is just my favorite new fall decorating item!!!

So, head over to 4 Crafty Chicks and enter your SPARKLE AND SHINE project today!  While you are there be sure to leave some love for the other chicks!  They really out did themselves this week!

See you soon!

Birthday @ 4 CC

Good morning and welcome back!  Today is Thursday so that means we have a brand new challenge up at 4 Crafty Chicks.  I get to play hostess this week too!

Since my son just celebrated his 20th Birthday last week and I celebrated my 21st (PLUS a few) birthday yesterday that is the theme I chose for the week.

For my project I made this cute little hedgehog card that I sent to my daughter. (She thought for a few days that she wanted a REAL hedgehog)    I colored him with my Spectrum Noir pens and added some paper flowers.  Pretty quick and easy!

So be sure to hop over to 4 Crafty Chicks and show us your birthday projects today!

Can't wait to see what you come up with!

See you soon!

Fall is Finally here!

Good morning!  Welcome back.  Last week we moved our son back to school for another year.  I have a had time believing he is already a Junior in College!  Where does the time go?

Well, today is Thursday so we have a brand new challenge up at 4 Crafty Chicks.  We are also at the start of a new month and we are having a Guest Design Team Call!

Be sure to hop over to 4 Crafty Chicks and when you enter the challenge put GDT after your name.

Today Leanne is our Hostess with the Mostest and she has decided on the theme

FALL

Now, this is probably my favorite time of year!  I love all the beautiful colors and the crisp air! Everything about Fall just makes me happy!  So, I decided on a little FALL decorating for my project this week.  This adorable little scarecrow comes from SVGcuts.com and was super fun and easy to make!

And here is a close up of his adorable little face!

I had so much fun putting him together and he is going to look pretty cute on my desk at work!

So, head on over to 4 Crafty Chicks and enter your FALL project today!

Distressing

Good morning and welcome back!!!  It is Thursday so that means a new challenge is up and going at

Tamie is our lovely hostess this week and she wanted to see some
DISTRESSING

This is a technique that I love but never quite got the hang of.
For my card I decided to try a Christmas card with a country look.  I cut the snowflake out on my Cricut and then sponged some brown ink on the Kraft card stock.  Then I took my distressing tool and did the edges I added some red paper to the back and put it all on a dark brown card stock.  Some red/white twine finished it off;

So, be sure to stop over to
and enter your card using DISTRESSING today!  We can't wait to see what you come up with!

Back to School

Good morning friends!  Welcome back for another wonderful challenge over a 4 Crafty Chicks!
This week Leanne is our wonderful hostess and she has chosen the following theme:
BACK TO SCHOOL

I haven't been feeling well lately, so when I actually found the time and had the energy this week to get into my craft room I was pretty excited!  I found this adorable Tiddly Inks image and thought she just looked perfect for this challenge!  Since my daughter is finished with college and working now I am not sure who will get this card but I am sure I will find the perfect young lady to send it to!

I also want to give a big welcome to our 2 Guest Designers this month:

Lisa from Don't Run With Scissors
&
Taunya from Daisies Girl

We are so glad you guys are playing with us this month!  I look forward to seeing all of your wonderful creations!

Anything Goes

Good morning and Happy Monday!  I thought I had set this project to post with the 4 Crafty Chicks challenge last Thursday but I didn't get back in to check it.  (I guess my memory is just not working lately!)
I know its a little late, but there is still lots of time to enter our 4 Crafty Chicks challenge this week - the theme is ANYTHING GOES.  It just doesn't get any easier than that!

I made this card for my Mom's birthday and she absolutely loved it!  Lavender is her favorite color and I just love the way it goes with the teal.  The butterfly was stamped 5 times and cut and layerer to achieve a 3-D look.  I love the way this one turned out!

Here is a close up of the butterfly:

I also want to take a minute to thank our wonderful guest designers for the month of July.

I have really enjoyed all of your wonderful creations!  I hope to see you around blogland!  Hugs!

So, like I said, you still have time to enter your ANYTHING GOES project over at 4 Crafty Chicks!  While you are there leave some love for the rest of the DT - they are sure a wonderful group of ladies!

See you soon!
