Anything Goes

Good morning and Happy Monday!  I thought I had set this project to post with the 4 Crafty Chicks challenge last Thursday but I didn't get back in to check it.  (I guess my memory is just not working lately!)
I know its a little late, but there is still lots of time to enter our 4 Crafty Chicks challenge this week - the theme is ANYTHING GOES.  It just doesn't get any easier than that!

I made this card for my Mom's birthday and she absolutely loved it!  Lavender is her favorite color and I just love the way it goes with the teal.  The butterfly was stamped 5 times and cut and layerer to achieve a 3-D look.  I love the way this one turned out!

Here is a close up of the butterfly:

I also want to take a minute to thank our wonderful guest designers for the month of July.

I have really enjoyed all of your wonderful creations!  I hope to see you around blogland!  Hugs!

So, like I said, you still have time to enter your ANYTHING GOES project over at 4 Crafty Chicks!  While you are there leave some love for the rest of the DT - they are sure a wonderful group of ladies!

See you soon!

Christmas In July!

Good morning!  I am just running so late this month!  Today is Friday which means I am a day late for the new challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks!  And I am hostess!!!

This weeks theme is Christmas In July!

I decided on a 3-D project for this week.  An Ice Skate!  Now, this didn't get embellished as well as I would have liked (again that being behind thing!) but I love how this turned out!

This is an SVG file from SVGcuts.com.  Mary has some pretty amazing stuff!  I used my Cricut Explore to cut this all out and then added some ribbon and gems to embellish.  Now, had I been more on top of things I would have added some Christmas Greenery in the top instead of that terrible tissue paper, or at least something pretty.

So, head on over to 4 Crafty Chicks and see all the beautiful inspiration the girls have made this week.  We have 2 wonderful Guest Designers - Cathy & Kerri - and they have brought some beautiful talent to share with you all this month too!

See you soon!

No Stamping at 4CC

Good morning and welcome back once again!

Today over at 4 Crafty Chicks Leanne is our hostess and she says NO STAMPING!.  I made a quick Thank You card using the Cricut Explore - I don't think the machine writing would qualify as stamping would it?  I love how this machine will write for me!!!  Sure beats my messy handwriting!

So head on over to 4 Crafty Chicks and enter your NO STAMPING card today!

Happy 4th of July America!

Good morning!  I know it's not the 4th just yet but this week over at 4 Crafty Chicks Lori is our hostess and she chose the theme PATRIOTIC!  With the 4th just around the corner it was a great choice!

I decided on this adorable little girl from Tiddly Inks and colored her with my Spectrum Noir markers.  I added some glitter and gems some ribbon and thought this one turned out pretty cute!

Here is a close up:

You can tell my coloring is a bit out of practice!

Today is Thursday so that means another great challenge over at 4 Crafty Chicks!  Tamie is our hostess and she chose Father's Day as our theme this week.

Good morning Friends and welcome back!  It is Thursday so that means a new challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks!  This week I get to be hostess and chose the theme  POLKA DOTS.  That's a pretty easy one!

Here is my card:

The lovely image is from Tiddly Inks and colored with Spectrum Noir markers.  I cut her out using my Cricut Explore.  The Get Well message is from Digital Delights and I hand cut it and added some pop dots to give it dimension.

Congratulations Graduate!

Good morning!  Can you believe it is Graduation Time already?!?  I know several young adults that are either graduation High School or College this year! (I must be getting old!)

This week over at 4 Crafty Chicks our hostess with the mostess is the lovely Leanne!  She chose the theme GRADUATION.  I could have shared several cards for this one!  Instead I chose to use this super quick and easy card I made using the Cricut Explore!  It did everything except glue it together for me!  I did add a few star gems to give it a little pop!

So head on over to 4 Crafty Chicks and enter your GRADUATION card today!

It's Summertime!

Good morning! Thursday already?  Wow!

We have a new challenge over at 4 Crafty Chicks today! Lori is our hostess and she chose the theme SUMMER.

Now, I have so many really nice "summer" stamps, but then I thought  it was time to mix it up a bit and do something different!

For some reason these flowers just called to me!  I cut them out from my Cricut Explore.  The bright colors just make me think of hot summer days!  The wave of black made me think of water (I know I can be a little strange!)

The entire card is made from scraps from my stash and the candy dots are homemade from pony beads.  The sentiment is an old Stampin' Up stamp embossed with black embossing powder.  This is the first long card I have made in years!  I just may have to make a few more like this!

So head on over to 4 Crafty Chicks and join us for our SUMMER challenge!

With Sympathy

Good morning!  It's Thursday again so be sure to hop over to 4 Crafty Chicks for another great challenge!

Tamie is our hostess over there this week and she chose Sympathy as our theme.  These are probably the hardest cards for me to make.  I usually buy them because I can never seem to figure out what to do.  But, after looking around Pinterest I came across some great inspiration and decided on this one:

The stamps are old Stampin' Up  sets.  I stamped with black ink and then added touches of white gel pin to the flowers.  The ribbon is from Close To My Heart.

So, head on over to 4 Crafty Chicks and enter your Sympathy card today.  This challenge may just help us all add to our stash for those hard to make cards.
