Bookmark using Crafty Sentiments Sumertime

Good morning Friends!  Today I have a bookmark tutorial for you.  This is my first design team post for Crafty Sentiments Designs Inspirational Bog and also my first tutorial.  I have decided to make a bookmark to show you today.  A word of warning - this is a very picture heavy post.  I apologize in advance!  I actually found the directions for this tutorial on Split Coast Stampers and changed it up to make it my own, so it may look very familiar to some of you.

Supplies:
4x4 piece of heavy card stock
2 3/4 x 2 3/4 piece of heavy cardstock
Crafty Sentiments Summertime stamp
Spellbinders die and Cuttlebug
Decorative Edge Punch
Scorepal
strong heavy tape
ribbon and embellishments

Step 1 - Mark center of each side of 4x4 card stock

Step 2 - Score 2 sides diagonally from point to point. Tip: I used my envelope template to keep me on the correct lines.
Step 3 - Fold down to form a point at the top and use bone folder to leave  nice crisp lines.
Step 4 - Cut decorative edge along bottom of bookmark. (Optional)

Step 5 - Cut 2 3/4 x 2 3/4 card stock on the diagonal.

( you will have 2 halves when finished)
Step 6 - Use score tape on the back side to attach one half of newly cut piece.

 (Attached back)
Step 7 - Add wide ribbon at bottom wrapping all the way around bookmark.
Step 8 - Add narrow ribbon over wide ribbon. (Optional)
Step 9- Cut stamped image with Spellbinders die and emboss.
Step 10 - Using foam squares adhere stamped image to bookmark.

Step 11 - Finish embellishing  bookmark as you desire.
I used some Wild Orchid Crafts flowers, a die cut butterfly and a bow.

Bookmark shown on a book.

Close up of this adorable stamp!

Thanks for taking the time to go all the way to the end.  I would love to see your take on this bookmark.  If you make one, please leave me a comment so I can admire your work!

New Challenge at Scribble & Scrap

Good morning Friends!  Today begins a new challenge over at Scribble & Scrap Challenge Blog.  The challenge is always Anything Goes - so come join the fun!
For my design team creation this week I have used the adorable Archie the Bear and some of Lexie's wonderful digital papers called One for the Boys.  I love this paper pack! It is so versatile.  I used 2 different papers this week cutting one with my new doily die from My Favorite Things  and using the other as my background for my card.  I colored Archie using Prismacolor pencils and cut him out using a Spellbinders die.  I added some ribbon and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and some gems from my stash.  I think he will make a great Get Well Soon or I'm Sorry card.  I left the inside blank until I decide.

Here is a close up of this adorable image:

New Challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks!

Good morning friends!  It's Thursday, so you know what that means?  It's time for a new challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks.  This week's challenge is brought to you by "ME" and I want to see some trees.  Our design team has been hard at work so be sure to stop by and visit them.

For my project I used a "twig" stamp I had in my stash.  I can't remember the exact name of it but I bought it last year at one of the CK Conventions and this is the first time I have used it.  It was a lot of fun to "create" my tree! I stamped the twigs into the tree shape using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then cut it out using a Spellbinders die.  I wanted to keep it clean and simple  with just a little pop of color so I cut another shape one size larger using Red card stock.  I added some ribbon and snowflakes from my stash and done!

So what are you waiting for?  Get over to 4 Crafty Chicks and let's see some trees!

This week we are wanting to see your Birthday Girl projects.

For my first challenge post I have used an adorable little bear from Digi Stamp Boutique.  I colored her with Prismacolor Pencils and added some glitter and glossy accents to the flowers.I cut her out using a Spellbinders die then added some card stock behind my cut out to make her pop.  I added some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, ribbon and lace and the number "2" for the birthday girl.

Here is a picture of the complete birthday project for Miss Addie's 2nd Birthday.  I made a bank using a glass block and of course we had to have a matching gift bag!

New challenge at Crafting From The Heart-

Good morning!  I am a little late with my post (I thought I had it all ready!) this morning.  We have a new challenge at Crafting From The Heart today and we want to see your favorite colors.  Of course we always have Anything Goes as well.
Our sponsors this week are :
Sassy Studio Designs and Angie's Digi Store.  They have some great prizes this week and tons of great images so be sure to check them out!
I used an image from each sponsor this week.  From Sassy Studios I used this Martini Pin Up.  I colored her with Prismacolor Pencils and kept her simple with just some pattern paper and a big bow.

Then, from Angie's Digi Store I used this cute little Pizza Delivery Dog.  Again, I colored him with Prismacolor Pencils and kept him clean and simple with just some bright card stock.

DT call at The Paper Shelter

Good evening!  I hope you had a great week and are able to enjoy your weekend!  I am so glad it is Friday! It has been a long week and I am more than ready to have a little time to unwind!  Both kids are home on Spring Break, I am going to spend some time with my sisters tomorrow and I get to play in my craft room!

Today I was going through my favorite blogs and can you imagine how excited I was when I saw at DT call for The Paper Shelter!  I couldn't wait to get home and play!  I chose to use one of my favorite images called Angel.  She is just the sweetest little thing!  I colored her with Prisma color Pencils and added some glossy accents and glitter to her wings and underskirt.  I cut her out using a Spellbinders die and also cut 2 more shapes using cardstock and velum.  I added a flower spray with flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and some butterfly die cuts from my stash.  A ribbon and double bow with a little bling finished her off.

Isn't she just the most adorable little angel?
I am going to enter her into the following challenges:

4 Crafty Chicks - Challenge # 184 Shaped Card

Good Morning Friends!  It's Thursday so you know what that means! We have a new challenge ready for you at 4 Crafty Chicks !  This week Leanne is our "Hostess with the Mostest" She is looking for shapes. Round, funky, or anything but square and rectangle...  I decided to try my hand at a round card using Spellbinders Dies to create my card base.

I cut my card base out using a Spellbinders die then using a scrap piece of pattern paper I cut the next size smaller circle to matt on the card.  I kept this one kind of simple with just a bow at the top and a flower spray using flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I added some butterflies just to give it that "something extra".  The inside is simply stamped with a Thank You.

So, what are you waiting for?  Hop on over to 4 Crafty Chicks and enter your shaped card today!  We look forward to seeing what you have created!

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

A quick post as I head off to work this morning.  I have an adorable image from Lacy Sunshine that I colored up some time ago.  I colored her with Prismacolor Pencils and matted her on black cardstock.  I kept it clean and simple with just some polka dot paper and a few flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.  A bow to finish her off.

Good morning Friends!  Another week is upon us...What will this week bring?  Hopefully it will bring only wonderful things for everyone. Warmer weather (would be heaven), a quick easy work week would be great!  The kids will both be home at the end of the week for Spring Break.  I am looking forward to having them both home for a few days!
Today's card is a clean and simple design using an adorable little image from The Paper Shelter.  I colored her with Prisma pencils and cut her out using a Spellbinders die.  I added a few pearls and some ribbon and it was done!

1st Design Team Post for Scribble & Scrap

Good morning friends!  Exciting News to share!  Lexie from Scribble & Scrap  has asked me to join their design team!  I am so excited for this wonderful opportunity to work with all the great products they have! So, today begins my start as a design team member of the challenge blog - Scribble & Scrap Challenge Blog
For this weeks project I decided to use some of the great digital papers - this one is called One For The Boys.  Unfortunately, as I was printing my last page, my printer decided to run out of ink! So the quality of this is not what I would really like to have.  I have ordered new ink so I will be able to use more of the fantastic papers that are available!  I also used one of the cute troll images (The Puglies).  This one is called Miles & Gwendoline.  I colored them with Prisma pencils and cut them out using a Spellbinders die. They were lots of fun to color!  I added some ribbon and buttons from my stash and called is finished.  I really struggle with those "Guy" cards but think this will be a good one for my Brother's upcoming birthday.  I have left the inside blank for now until I come up with the perfect quote to add inside.  Anyone have any ideas? Something funny and troll like!

So, hop over to Scribble and Scrap for the new challenge.  It's always Anything Goes! We would love for you to join us and play along!
