New Challenge at Scribble & Scrap

Good morning Friends!  It's time for another challenge at Scribble & Scrap Challenge Blog where it is always Anything Goes!  For my Design Team card this week I have used an adorable little bunny from Wee Stamps and the beautiful Grungy Florals - Pastels from the Scribble & Scrap Shop.  These papers are just so soft and pretty!
I colored my image using Prisma color Pencils and cut it out using a Spellbinders die.  I cut the same die 2 more times using some of the fantastic papers and matted everything on the Pink Floral paper from the paper pack.  I added some lace and a bow, die cut my heart banner from La La Land Crafts and added some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I hand cut the banner after stamping Happy Easter.  The Happy Easter stamp is an old one from my stash.

Aren't these papers just perfect for Easter?  Here is a close up of my Wee Stamps image:

Ready for Spring with Annabel - Butterflies & Flowers

Good morning friends!  Today I have an adorable rubber stamp to show you from Crafty Sentiments Designs called Annabel - Butterflies & Flowers.  I have colored her with Prismacolor Pencils.  I kept my design somewhat clean and simple so that the focus stays on this adorable stamp by just matting my image on ivory cardstock and adding a couple of pieces of pattern paper, some jewels and a butterfly brad from my stash.

Here is a close up of this fantastic stamp:

Be sure to stop by the Crafty Sentiments Designs Shop and check out the adorable new stamps!

Thinking Spring at 4 Crafty Chicks

Good morning friends! It's time for another great challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks!  We are thinking all about Spring this week.  What better way than with some chicks?!?  I found these adorable chicks out shopping one day and couldn't resist buying one for each of us.  I just hope they have all reached their destination before this post hits the blog!  So, getting ready to mail them out I thought - you have to include a card, Right?  Well, I made this quick set with this adorable little bird (I know it's not really a chick but pretty close right?)  I found over at Card Mad Fairy.  They have some adorable digis!  I colored them up with Prisma pencils and added a little glitter to their wings and cut them out with a Spellbinders die.  I tried to do a variegated look to the wings but not sure it turned out.  Each card is done in the color of the corresponding "Chick" I sent to each of the girls.

Pretty cute I think!  I hope they enjoy them as much as I enjoy working with each of them on the challenges!  So, hop over to 4 Crafty Chicks and show us a little Spring!  While you are about, stop by the other chicks blogs and show them some love.  They have some amazing projects to show you!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope to see you soon!

Mo's Free Gift to her new clubhouse members!

Good morning Friends!  Today I want to share with you a card I made using an adorable image from Mo's Digital Pencil.  Mo was so generous and gave all her new club members this image as a freebie to play with.  Let me tell you - I have had a lot of fun playing too!  I just purchased my first few Spectrum Noir markers and I am in LOVE with them!  I will be buying more very soon!  They are so much fun to color and blend with!  I still love my Prisma pencils but am liking the bright colors I can achieve with these markers!
I colored Bella with my new markers and matted her on some cardstock.  I added some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and some pearls and a couple of butterflies from my stash.

Here is a closeup of this adorable image.  I need more practice with my new markers but really enjoyed coloring her.  I think you will be seeing a lot more images with markers!

Again, Thank you Mo for the adorable image to play with!  Stop over at Mo's new Facebook page and check out the clubhouse!

Bookmark using Crafty Sentiments Sumertime

Good morning Friends!  Today I have a bookmark tutorial for you.  This is my first design team post for Crafty Sentiments Designs Inspirational Bog and also my first tutorial.  I have decided to make a bookmark to show you today.  A word of warning - this is a very picture heavy post.  I apologize in advance!  I actually found the directions for this tutorial on Split Coast Stampers and changed it up to make it my own, so it may look very familiar to some of you.

Supplies:
4x4 piece of heavy card stock
2 3/4 x 2 3/4 piece of heavy cardstock
Crafty Sentiments Summertime stamp
Spellbinders die and Cuttlebug
Decorative Edge Punch
Scorepal
strong heavy tape
ribbon and embellishments

Step 1 - Mark center of each side of 4x4 card stock

Step 2 - Score 2 sides diagonally from point to point. Tip: I used my envelope template to keep me on the correct lines.
Step 3 - Fold down to form a point at the top and use bone folder to leave  nice crisp lines.
Step 4 - Cut decorative edge along bottom of bookmark. (Optional)

Step 5 - Cut 2 3/4 x 2 3/4 card stock on the diagonal.

( you will have 2 halves when finished)
Step 6 - Use score tape on the back side to attach one half of newly cut piece.

 (Attached back)
Step 7 - Add wide ribbon at bottom wrapping all the way around bookmark.
Step 8 - Add narrow ribbon over wide ribbon. (Optional)
Step 9- Cut stamped image with Spellbinders die and emboss.
Step 10 - Using foam squares adhere stamped image to bookmark.

Step 11 - Finish embellishing  bookmark as you desire.
I used some Wild Orchid Crafts flowers, a die cut butterfly and a bow.

Bookmark shown on a book.

Close up of this adorable stamp!

Thanks for taking the time to go all the way to the end.  I would love to see your take on this bookmark.  If you make one, please leave me a comment so I can admire your work!

New Challenge at Scribble & Scrap

Good morning Friends!  Today begins a new challenge over at Scribble & Scrap Challenge Blog.  The challenge is always Anything Goes - so come join the fun!
For my design team creation this week I have used the adorable Archie the Bear and some of Lexie's wonderful digital papers called One for the Boys.  I love this paper pack! It is so versatile.  I used 2 different papers this week cutting one with my new doily die from My Favorite Things  and using the other as my background for my card.  I colored Archie using Prismacolor pencils and cut him out using a Spellbinders die.  I added some ribbon and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and some gems from my stash.  I think he will make a great Get Well Soon or I'm Sorry card.  I left the inside blank until I decide.

Here is a close up of this adorable image:

New Challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks!

Good morning friends!  It's Thursday, so you know what that means?  It's time for a new challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks.  This week's challenge is brought to you by "ME" and I want to see some trees.  Our design team has been hard at work so be sure to stop by and visit them.

For my project I used a "twig" stamp I had in my stash.  I can't remember the exact name of it but I bought it last year at one of the CK Conventions and this is the first time I have used it.  It was a lot of fun to "create" my tree! I stamped the twigs into the tree shape using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then cut it out using a Spellbinders die.  I wanted to keep it clean and simple  with just a little pop of color so I cut another shape one size larger using Red card stock.  I added some ribbon and snowflakes from my stash and done!

So what are you waiting for?  Get over to 4 Crafty Chicks and let's see some trees!

Here is a picture of the complete birthday project for Miss Addie's 2nd Birthday.  I made a bank using a glass block and of course we had to have a matching gift bag!
